About Uttarakhand State Sports University
Established under the State Legislative Act, 12 of 2025, and recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.
Uttarakhand State Sports University, Haldwani, is dedicated to becoming a premier institution for the study of sports — offering advanced education in physical education, sports technology, sports management, coaching, and sports sciences.
The university builds strong partnerships with sports academies, schools, colleges, clubs, associations, and international federations to support comprehensive teaching, training, and research. Through these efforts, USSU aims to strengthen Uttarakhand's sports ecosystem and contribute to India's rise as a significant player in the global sports arena.
